06 - Spiritus Mundi

Each heart knows the owl's murd'rous hoot, the black raven's caw;
Each has heard the timid rabbit's shriek in the night;
Each the crack of the raptor's bone-rend, the predator's claw;
Yet the rebelling spirit needs smile in the dimming light.
